Brian Powell- Co-Founder,Artistic Director- Brian has worked as a theatre and teaching artist for over thirty years. He’s taught youngsters, university students and professionals throughout the country. He’s performed from Off Broadway to Los Angeles, is a founding member of New Crime Theatre and Film, and worked with multiple theatre companies including Lookingglass Theatre Company, the Piven Theatre Workshop,The Actor’s Gang. With The Actor’s Gang Brian appeared in ten years of shows, directed, produced and spearheaded the Gang’s first Outreach Program. Brian has produced and directed multiple shows in Los Angeles including shows for Amnesty International, The Program for Torture Victims, Pico Union Project.
Gina Rose Powell- Co-Founder, Artistic Director- Gina is a writer/director for theatre, film and television. Awards include: Amy Rose Bloch for Excellence in Directing, The Hollywood Foreign Press, L.A. Angelus, Blum Kovner, NEA grant. Her short films have appeared on PBS and in numerous film festivals around the country. She has directed at LA’s Fringe Festival, Actor’s Circle Theater, Tamarind, Ensemble Studio, Court Theatre, Victory Theatre, Pico Union Project. Gina has had the privilege of studying with Peter Sellars, Ann Bogart, Martha Clarke, Joan Darling Murray Louis, and members of Jose Limon, Alvin Ailey, Martha Graham, Pilobolus, MOMIX and Merce Cunningham. Her writing has been published in ONTHEBUS, Voices, Spillway, Yellow Silk and Caffeine. MFA Directing Fellow (AFI), MFA Theatre (UCLA).
Ella Rose Charles-Co-Founder -started acting in improvisational theatre at a very young age, performing in many shows with Catherine Allison’s Dramabees. She’s performed in YADA’s Legally Blond and as Scar in The Lion King. She went on to study Shakespeare with Will Geer’s Theatricum Botanicum performing as Dumain in Love’s Labour’s Lost and Beatrice in Much Ado About Nothing. 2014 she starred as the lead, The Girl, in her school play Roald Dahl’s Witches. This Fall she'll be playing Mr. Abramowitz in Coney Island Christmas.
Jef Bek- Musical Director- Jef first collaborated with Co-Director Brian Powell in Chicago. In L.A., Bek has received 17 Awards and nominations including: Ovation Awards: NOSFERATU, PATHE-X and LA Weekly Awards: THE MASTER AND MARGARITA, SCENES FROM AN EXECUTION. Bek taught Interactive Sound Design at The University of Southern California and was the composer/lyricist for the 2007 Musical of the Year Nominated EVEL KNIEVEL THE ROCK OPERA.
