Language of the Heart: Lynwood Women's Prison
We're so fortunate to have performed for 150 high risk female inmates at the Lynwood Prison!
Thank you to the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department for all your support!
Excerpt from L.A. Sheriff's Department letter
“Language of the Heart” was an inspirational comedic play with a positive message of learning to have hope despite suffering disappointments and setbacks. Following the performance, cast members answered questions and interacted with inmates in a discussion about the meaning of the performance...Many inmates not only enjoyed the performance, but were deeply moved.
I want to thank you for taking the time to bring your talents into our facility....I, and my staff are proud to consider Citizen Change Theatre a Community Partner and we, as well as our inmates, welcome a return visit.
Thank you again! Your dedication to your craft and desire to bring the arts to undeserved populations is an inspiration!"
